While the interior and dash were toasted, the engine suffered only a quick exposure to the fire. The fuel injection hard parts (the 6 aluminum runners, the fuel distributor main parts, a/f meter appear useable, all the hoses, belts, rubber seals, injectors need replacing. I would consider a PMO conversion unless I was replacing a defective existing 3.0. This engine appears to have been well maintained - chain tensioners were upgraded and appears fresh inside. I bent the shift rod removing the DT :( Everything else looks good.
This tub has been stripped out to make visible how solid (galvanized steel used in 78), straight, and much dirty work stripping it out has been done already. Most suspension and brakes are still available. Additional pictures on request.
