This car is from a Porsche collector's collection that was in a garage fire. The car was not rebuildable, but many parts have been dismantled, cleaned and inspected. Not all are listed...
This engine has been taken apart for inspection. All 6 cylinder heads, 2 cams and carriers, rocker hardware, etc. have been visually inspected and appear good. All 6 engine cylinders look good inside and out. Pistons also all look good. Engine was NOT locked up.
The magnesium engine block has heat distortion near the alternator saddle. Magnesium can not be welded for repair. Some Porsche people have told me things like marine epoxy can be used - will bond solidly. I have never used it.
This engine has good heat exchangers (stainless) ($400 each) and factory muffler ($250) in good condition. Flywheel ($125) is also good.
As removed from a nice car that had a fire. Cosmetic blistering on bell housing, but I believe internals were not affected. I will guarantee case, gears, shafts... I can open it up for inspection for a serious buyer with a $100 deposit up front, refundable if internals turn out to be bad.
Front hubs- $125 each (bearings not guaranteed)
Rear hubs and trailing arms - $250 each
Torsion bars - $75 each
Gas tank $200 (no shipping)
Oil cooler and oil tank
